We really get into our ideology, strategy & (self) critiques in this interview with comrade @LolOverruled.

"Our action was to show solidarity with the people of Gaza in a material, not abstract, way — not to appeal to weapons factory workers or the New Hampshire masses.” Image "I see a defeatist tendency coming from some people in the imperial core who think that we are exempt from taking part in the resistance, that people in the Global South should be doing all the dying, that the only thing we can do is passively voice our outrage..." The US did not "defeat" fascism in WW2, it reorganized and absorbed fascism to be subordinated to US imperialism, a more sophisticated fascism repainted with a liberal veneer, and went on to commit countless more genocides. The US-NATO-zionist Empire is the Fourth Reich I hate how people talk about liberals and fascists as if they are diametrically opposed. Liberalism and fascism are co-constitutive of capitalism...

🧵Yahya Sinwar in a 2018 interview with an Italian journalist:

"I am the Gaza leader of Hamas, of something much more complex than a militia—a national liberation movement. And my main duty is to act in the interest of my people..." ynetnews.com/articles/0,734…Image Interviewer: So why you don't buy milk, rather than guns?

Sinwar: If we hadn't bought (guns), we wouldn't be alive by now. We've bought it, don't worry. We've bought milk, and much else: food, medicine...Image

BDS National Committee put out a terrible statement telling us to never voice support for armed resistance & fear-mongering about 'outside agitators.' This should surprise absolutely no one given their condemnation of Samidoun, the Mapping Project, etc

I'll be the first to defend my queer ppl but we have to stop pretending queerness (especially in the West) is inherently revolutionary. Some of yall are some of the most liberal, individualist, decadent people holding the revolution back. Imperialism = the primary contradiction. Image Don't really know what more needs to be said. All this discourse is distracting from the genocide.

If you are letting in politicians to your encampment who condemn the Palestinian resistance and endorse Genocide Joe, you have fully lost the plot. Encampments should be sites of resistance, not Democratic Party photo-ops. BEWARE OF CO-OPTATION. This is counter-insurgency at its most blatant.

🧵In these moments of heightening contradictions & revolutionary potential, we see a lot of liberal co-optation of the language of direct action. Marching to empty halls of power is not shutting anything “down.” Our tactics must directly confront & materially impede imperialism, as the Palestinian resistance has called us to do. A successful movement needs a wide array of correct tactics; mass mobilizations are one of those, but in the US, power has shown it doesn’t move even when hundreds of thousands take to the streets (as we saw with Iraq and as we’re seeing now) unless the ruling class and their capital actually feels threatened.

Menendez may end up in jail, but for white-collar crimes, not the deadly sanctions he has supported against Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Iran, China & Iraq.

With Menendez out, what is the future of Biden's Cuba policy? My first article in @peoplesdispatch:
peoplesdispatch.org/2023/09/28/san… @peoplesdispatch This indictment could be Menendez’s final blow. On the brink of an election year, “He is probably a large burden for too many people at the same time,” former Cuban diplomat @JoseRCabanas tells me, who served as Cuba's first Ambassador to the US in 50 years.

Big immediate differences I notice coming back to the imperial core from Cuba:

- extreme homelessness

- militarized police everywhere

- basic essentials (ex. toilet paper) aren't in shortage due to sanctions, but rather wasted by capitalism

- people are rude asf to each other - so much commercial advertising

- lack of green space and community space for the public to enjoy

- extreme segregation by class and race

The FBI also withheld info from local police which (purposefully) hampered the investigation. People have dumbed this down to "we need better cooperation between federal & local law enforcement," but it's really because the FBI was covering up that Tamerlan was an FBI asset. The FBI claims they didn't know the brothers' identities until they fingerprinted Tamerlan's corpse after the manhunt. But in reality, they'd been contacting & surveilling Tamerlan for years, almost certainly using him as an FBI informant. bostonmagazine.com/news/2017/04/0…

10 years ago on April 15, 2013 was the Boston Marathon bombing. What people don't know is that Tamerlan Tsarnaev was an FBI informant & the Tsarnaev family was closely connected to the CIA. The feds are still covering up for others involved, including those who built the bombs. Image I went into detail in this thread, but I no longer believe that Tamerlan was just an "informant who went rogue" - there's much more evidence that he was not "rogue" and that this was another episode of the FBI manufacturing terror & ruining people's lives

🧵 The terrorist attack the US doesn't want you to know about: Cubana Flight 455 🇨🇺

The CIA trained Cuban exiles who planted 2 time bombs on the plane on October 6, 1976. All 73 passengers & crew were murdered, including the entire Cuban Olympic fencing team. Of the murdered passengers there were 57 Cubans, 11 Guyanese & 5 North Koreans. The average age of the passengers was 30, including a 22-year-old pregnant woman. The Cuban fencing team was onboard having just won the gold medal at the Pan-American games.

🧵There is a long history of love & solidarity between the US & Cuban people. When Fidel came to NYC in 1960, no hotel wanted to host the Cuban revolutionaries. They went to the Hotel Theresa in Harlem, where thousands of working-class people poured onto the streets to greet them Fidel famously met with Malcolm X, who later wrote in his autobiography that Fidel had “achieved a psychological coup over the US State Department when it confined him to Manhattan, never dreaming that he’d stay uptown in Harlem and make such an impression among the Negroes.”

My prof: the Boston marathon bombing

Me: 🙋‍♀️ actually Tamerlan Tsarnaev was an FBI informant who went rogue, there were no traces of bomb-making in their Cambridge apartment & the FBI covered up for at least several others involved

My prof (decades in academia): you are right Dzhokhar's lawyers found evidence from many sources that Tamerlan was recruited by the FBI. The FBI ran interference throughout the investigation of the Boston bombing which had astounding irregularities.

The Tsarnaevs were also related by marriage to several CIA agents.

Stalin signed a non-aggression pact w/ Hitler bc the West (hoping Hitler would destroy USSR & threat of social revolution) refused to form a common front.

The pact delayed the Eastern invasion by 2 years; w/o this period of development, the USSR couldn't have defeated the Nazis. Image Nazis & liberals alike wanted to destroy communism. Both Hitler & Churchill promoted the antisemitic Judeo-bolshevism theory.

Britain, France & US (all profiting from rearming Germany) wanted to encourage Hitler to crusade the East & reduce risk of aggression against the West. ImageImage

My prof: Stalin signed a non-aggression pact with Hitler & helped Nazis

Me: 🙋‍♀️didnt Stalin first repeatedly reach out to Western nations to form an anti-fascist alliance against Hitler & they refused, pushing him into the non-aggression pact?

My prof (decades in academia): idk Crazy how people pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for multiple degrees just to not even have a basic understanding of how WW2 happened lol
