Yesterday I met w/my university’s OEA office to file a complaint.

The TLDR of it is that a university official made a bad joke about me “looking up prostitution sites” at work during our faculty meeting.

Evolving thread re realities of reporting discrimination & harassment.👇🏼 YES—I’ve published on sex work. It’s a line in my research that I care about, esp re supporting the decriminalization of sex work.

However, this joke—offered w/out that context—not only demeans sex work (e.g., using the term “prostitution”), it demeans me & my work.
