@charlesallen @SimplySJG @justingeorge @ggwash @betterDCregion @wmata I have advocated for a flat fare since the 1990s. @wmata has insisted time and again it is absolutely impossible to do that because "just because." For all the svc cuts over the years the fare should be flat with free xfers btwn rail & bus. Better still, make it free. Period. @charlesallen @SimplySJG @justingeorge @ggwash @betterDCregion @wmata What @councilofdc @MayorBowser have horribly failed at is holding @wmata accountable. Compel them to provide rail & bus service that actually serves the public. Make it easy, convenient, to reach all parts of the region w/o having to use cars not less than 18/7.
