Delighted to share our latest work, out in @NatImmunol, tackling the seemingly inordinate complexity of #cDC2s. @ReiseSousaLab @TheCrick, we found that distinct ontogenetic lineages dictate cDC2 heterogeneity, rather than cell states imposed by the tissue microenvironment 🧵(1/x) Image Mouse cDC2s encompass cDC2As, cDC2Bs, NOTCH-dependent and KLF4-dependent cDC2s. Some of these might overlap or correspond to different activation states of the same DC lineage, while others might represent distinct cDC2 ontogenetic lineages, imprinted in the bone marrow 🦴 (2/x)
