I questioned the Mayor on the policing tactics used on @XRebellionUK Impossible Rebellion protests this morning at MQT, raising the worry that the way the leadership of the Met chose to police the peaceful protests may have worsened the disruption experienced by Londoners. 1/5 I also raised concerns about heavy handed policing and reports of police use of battons and punching peaceful protestors on a bus. The Mayor suggests (and I endorse) people should submit complaints to the IOPC as victims or witnesses, he did not dispute the cases I raised.2/5

Massive thanks to @BrendaPuech and @eilidhmurray3 for organising a tour of Parklets in Hackney and Islington covering council parklets and community led ones. Really interesting to see the differences. We started with a council led parklet in Islington. A seating area reclaimed from parking space. All very solidly built and presumably relatively expensive.
