Something else. By 2 years, we lose 1/2 the nerve cells in the brain that we are born with and all the their synapses. The brain cells we keep are the ones that we use. The brain cells that die by apoptosis are those that don’t get connected into functioning neural networks. The way networks are built depends on attachment; secure attachment (love) sets the brain up for a safe world. Insecure attachment (lack of love) esp disorganized (danger)

Healthy Steps left off the genetic data they are collecting from Infant Buccal Swabs. I listened to Jack Schonkoff say they are collecting all kinds of stuff from the Buccal swab. A lot of AA families refused to give hair because they were worried about genetic collection. Image The think is the check swab is about collecting genetics and epigenetics data longitudinally. People don't realize that Harvard Center on the Developing Child, Zero to 3 and AAP plus 10 pediatric academic center have called the genetic data on over 6000 kids in prep to get this

Infants with mothers who have IWMs of helpless/hostile (two sides of the same coin) will gaze avert and will not look at her. Since the developing brain is use dependent, that kid will have reduced social cognition which leads to a lot of stress and anxiety: Image & autism. Same for the neglected kid or the kid in a fondling home. Cortical brain regions & neural network dev depends upon use. Little use, poor development. . I wanted a brain transplant for a lot of my life because I had impaired social cognition from neglect & abuse.
