Am perplexed why there was no discussion with @FamilyRightsGp before the DfE announced a new funded research proposal on family group conferences (FGCs are an approach in which the family take the lead in making a plan for the child that addresses social workers' concerns) 1/
FRG: introduced FGCs to the UK; hosts the UK FGC Network; published the FGC Toolkit; runs an accreditation scheme (which Gov funded FRG to develop) for local FGC services to promote high standards; maps/surveys FGC services; & runs a post graduate FGC award with @SalfordUni 2/

Tomorrow is Holocaust Memorial Day #HMD2019 Many of my relatives were murdered in the Holocaust solely for being Jews. Some also survived due to the extraordinary actions of people who showed the best of humanity 1/
