Matebeleland South: A Yellow Thread:

1. Fellow citizens, we continued our Matebeleland South program today to paint the nation Yellow. President @nelsonchamisa addressed thousands of Citizens in this part of the country as we press a gear up towards a democratic breakthrough.





2. Our citizen's engagements started with an early morning rally deep in rural Umzingwane in Sibomvu. 1] ON ZANUPF THREATS

Regrettably, we take notice of the deepening crisis of politically motivated violence, and threats of the same, particularly coming from ZanuPF, against our movement, its change champions; citizens; and the broader pro-democracy movement. 2] We particularly equally take notice of the failure of our police to, as per their constitutional duties, intervein against such disturbances.

We equally take notice of the use of state institutions, to actually persecute the actual victims of politically motivated violence

MOREBLESSING ALI: A Thread
Ms Moreblessing Ali (47 years of age) is a strong member of the Citizens’ Coalition for Change who is a community leader in Ward 21, Chitungwiza North. She is the mother of two children and has been involved in various community building activities. On the night of the 24th of May 2022, it is reported by an eyewitness who knows Moreblessing well that she was seized and forcibly shoved into a motor-vehicle by Pius Jambo who is a member of Zanu. It is alleged that he is the half-brother of Simba Chisango, who is a Zanu leader.

Exactly 91 days later, the City of gold once again turned yellow, as Change Citizens thronged Amaveni stadium to engage the CCIC, who came to thank them for staying true to the promises made on Feb 27th, a few kms away, in Mbizo 2. The #CitizensAppreciationRally was hot on the heels of a similar event, less than 24 hours back, in Binga, where the baTonga citizens, in their thousands, congregated to reaffirm that ngaanjile mulombe, at an event otherwise organized to celebrate our triumph, last February

Yellow Thread: Binga Hails.
Fellow Africans today the yellow movement as led by the Champion Chief President @nelsonchamisa was in Binga, the objective was to thank and celebrate the tenacity, love and solid support for the Citizens movement. This was hours after the state was petrified by the Champion in Chief’s visit to Chief Mabikwa’s homestead to pay his last respect to the late Parliamentarian. They feared that the people will go frenzy. To the regime it’s all about politics rather than Ubuntu,culture and love.

8. The Citizen's President was met with thousand of displaced citizens, who self organized to greet their Leader. We turned the banned rally into a walkabout, engaging thousands of pocked citizens, at different stops. 9. Whereas we have never had any illusions, the resilience of the citizens of Gokwe fortified our resolve. Together, we confronted blatant lawlessness with restraint, & triumphed.

YellowThread:
1. Yellow citizens, we continue to be humbled by the expressed desire for change & transformation, to be ushered by your citizens' movement, as led by the Citizen's Change Champion, President @nelsonchamisa . The people of Gokwe are just as clear 2. As we updated earlier in the morning, the regime employed all sorts of tactics to ensure the #YellowGokwe rally didn't go ahead. Beyond police perjury in the courts, they went on to defy a High Court order to allow the Citizen's Rally to go on.

1. Yellow citizens, from January 24th, we activated a deliberate political program with the dual task of introducing the new and campaigning for our by-elections elections candidates as is the norm in any democratic jurisdiction 2. To that end, after the Yellow Sunday rally in Harare, the Midlands Province, on behalf of your movement complied with legal requirements, and duly notified the authorities of our intention to hold a rally in Gokwe, on the 26th of February.

On the Task Before Us

The task on our shoulders as young people comrades is to increase the cost of dictatorship and continue to build a credible alternative.

The path to change has never been an easy one. It requires toughness, honesty and truth telling. There is no struggle without its Morrison Nyati, but it is out of those experiences that we learn & unite together to launch a credible fight against an oppression
This fight requires unity, unity is key- it is to me the only buffer against perrenial intrusion & political decay.
