Against the backdrop of statements by russian special services about alleged "Western plans to occupy Moldova," a photo of a man in French military uniform, supposedly taken in the city of Cimișlia near the border with Ukraine, is being circulated online.

✅ In fact, this information is not true. The Center verified the original video and found that it was published on July 25 on the page of a children's basketball club — before the government resolution allowing men aged 18 to 22 to leave the country was adopted.

Enemy TG channels spread photos and statements that the President of Ukraine allegedly visited a factory in Mukachevo where electronics for drones and rockets were produced, after which the enterprise was "destroyed" by russians.
This information is not true. There are no reports of such an incident in the Latvian press, nor any official statements. The fake about the “Latvian border guard killed by a mine” was first spread at the end of July this year by a pro-russian blogger who left Latvia for belarus.
▫️These are not isolated incidents but a systematic kremlin campaign. Since 2022, after the start of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the number of sabotage operations has sharply increased. In 2024 alone, incidents quadrupled compared to the previous year (33 incidents).
