The Workers Party of Britain have been forced to suspend their campaign in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, after their parliamentary candidate, Wajid Burkey, and other campaigners were attacked by men with baseball bats & machetes shortly after an elections hustings. #GE2024

Born in 1868, St. Petersburg, Russia, Krupskaya's exposure to poverty ignited her devotion to class struggle at a young age.

Today, we remember Yugoslavian Partisan and Communist, Lepa Radic, who was hanged by Nazi troops on this day in 1943, at the age of only seventeen. 🕊️

Today marks 20 years since American peace activist Rachel Corrie was murdered by an Israeli bulldozer driver while attempting to defend a Palestinian doctor’s home from demolition. 🕊🇵🇸

Rachel risked her life to fight against the illegal occupation and destruction of 1/6 Palestinian land. May her death and the deaths of countless other martyrs be remembered in the fight against Israeli terror.

In Memory of Mark Ashton - former YCL General Secretary and Working-Class Hero🔻☭✊

Mark Ashton passed away on the 11th February, 1987, tragically succumbing to HIV/AIDS at the age of 26. His accomplishments for the advancement of LGBT+ rights in the labour movement and 1/6 Image wider society are huge.

Mark is most famous for co-founding the group Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM). LGSM was an alliance of lesbians and gay men who supported the Miners' Strike from 1984-1985, standing in solidarity with their class against the Thatcher 2/6 Image
