1/4 #Nyamulagira eruption update as for June 1, 2023:
(1) eruptive activity continues in the caldera, particularly in the north-east pit-crater which produced the lava that filled the caldera and then overflowed on May 20 forming lava flows on the western flank of the volcano ImageImage 2/4
 (2) lava over flow from the caldera to the volcano's western flanks has stopped
(3) the lava flows from the May 20 overflows are visible on the volcano's western flanks (see right image)
