I’ve visited probably 12-13 polling locations in South City today and overwhelmingly, they have lacked accessibility, adequate signage indicating accessible entrances, and curbside voting availability.

These are at both regular, “assigned” polling places and “voting centers.” This was Peabody School earlier today. I got yelled at by a BOEC precinct manager for taking these photos.

The little sign that says “access route” led to no accessible entrance. ImageImageImage

I’ve gotten so many questions about judges on the ballot for #ElectionDay tomorrow, so I’ll share my general take:

“No” on all.

We as St. Louis voters have been disenfranchised & we are not able to democratically elect our judiciary like smaller MO counties.

🧵 A thread 🪡 You’ve probably heard of the “Missouri Plan.” Every year the state bar puts out a few puff pieces touting the Plan and why it “works” for Missouri.

Here’s the thing: it doesn’t actually work for the urban centers of the state, to whom the Plan applies.
