My Cuzzin Heather made these earrings for me.
On the left is my Mothers Mother. Sarah she went on to marry my Grandfather Dominic.
On the right is my Fathers Mother. Louise. She went on to marry my Grandfather Adam. 1/
Grandma Sarah had many babies. And 12 lived. 6 girls. (My Mom was one of them❤️) and 6 boys. Those 12 had 46 kids. Many of us are now Grandparents ourselves! 2/

Story about my Dads poppy, it’s made with porcupine quills, birchbark and Sweetgrass. One of my Dads geezer friends, a veteran, critiqued it, saying the Legion doesn’t recognize it. My Dad said Indigenous Vets fought for Canada 🇨🇦 and weren’t allowed to join the Legion. 1/
They fought with Valour and were decorated but when they came home, the country they fought for didn’t recognize them. So my Dad wears his poppy to educate. ctvnews.ca/canada/only-eq… 2/

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it
on my tree and filled it
with seed. What a beauty of
a bird feeder it was, as I filled it
lovingly with seed.
Within a week we had hundreds of birds
taking advantage of the
continuous flow of free and
easily accessible food.

But then the birds started
building nests in the boards
of the patio, above the table,
and next to the barbecue.
Then came the shit. It was
everywhere: on the patio tile,
the chairs, the table ...
everywhere!
