#ManipurLokSabhaElections2024 saw unprecedented threats, intimidations and poll violence. Close to 50 cases of poll violence, proxy voting, party agents not being allowed, sitting BJP MLAs even punching on EVMs were put across to the #ECI. This only for the inner constituency 1/2 There was repoll in only 11 polling booths. The situation was same in the outer seat where the BJP did not field any candidate. For the inner seat, the turn out in the repolls was massive. It was as if the people wanted to show they had had enough

A con story in the making that went viral and how fact checking led to some interesting turns
ifp.co.in/page/items/577… the 'breaking story' was first carried by @NortheastToday without any by line and with no mention of the said 7 yr old child except name and age. The story has since been deleted from their site without any further mention/clarification
