Ya know how they say "fed is best" for human infants? This applies to adults, too. I just had a trying day. Mystery food allergen reaction severe enough to need an Epi-Pen, and warrant a short-term Prednisone course.

The only thing that keeps me from disconnecting my IV is the blood I see in the tubes. It is actually a relief to be here just for treatment and not exploratory testing.

Y'all. I think I'm allergic to all peppers. Will need a scratch test to confirm. Last night, mystery allergen reaction. Took two Benadryl. Sleep. Woke up, more things in my face were swollen. Two more Benadryl.

That didn't do shit, so I frantically got dressed, packed my purse, and administered am Epi-Pen.

It's incredibly difficult to be housed in a timely manner after becoming homeless. I got lucky.

The social net that our state and federal governments have cooked up is TRASH. Resources are usually scattered all over a county. They're difficult to access. Hot food is at one place, groceries are at another.

If you think. I'm going to split. The price. Of a Lyft. To go 30-45 mins away to a town. I am not familiar with anymore, and meet a person I've never met...

Lil boy, you got me fucked up. "I don't even kill bugs and I've got a spoiled cat princess."

Chile I am damn near thirty-four, too grown to play boo boo the fool. How he thirty and act like a baby?

Could have "donated time" by going to a fundraiser today. But tomorrow is a park with a lot of corgis, and that is more important. I will choose cats and dogs over people every single time.

I get to be potentially trampled by a ton of small herding dogs??? Sign me up!

Went to a yoga class yesterday that seemed fairly easy and, quite frankly, fucking weird.

Now my body hurts. How??? What did we even do? Note: I have access to fitness classes for free.

This is a perk, and one that I have definitely earned.

Anyways. Got the neuropsychologist report, finally.

They don't think that I have PTSD. Now, see...😂

The PTSD is very well controlled by the psychotropic medication. However, I will still have many PTSD panic attacks every year. "...not PTSD, but is certainly affected by trauma."

Without medication, I can slip into a PTSD memory and mood spiral very easily. More often. I do have PTSD, it's just treated.

CW: Domestic Violence

Listening to Believe Her podcast. The prosecutor in this case is a piece of shit in my not humble opinion. Same with the DA.

I keep listening trying to see where it makes sense that the jury convicted, but it's nowhere to be found. CW: Domestic Violence, Death

DA: "I know it's not sexy to say, but men get abused too."

NO ONE THINKS ANY OF THIS IS SEXY THAT'S NOT THE CONTEXT

It was self-defense, period. He was going to kill her and then himself.

What no one tells you about the long term effects of childhood abuse is that YOU HAVE TO FINISH RAISING YOURSELF BY YOURSELF IN ADULTHOOD. Really not into it.

In the second half of a menstrual cycle, your metabolism speeds up a little bit. You are also hungrier. Maybe like a rabid animal. Many articles on the Web will tell you to ignore all of the cravings ravaging your brain, in order to make your period easier, with less cramps and fatigue.

This would require eating healthy nearly all of the time, in a way that's not accessible or feasible for many.

Going from years of being able to be an exercise demon, to chronic, painful illness, listen up kids: pain is not gain.

That's a myth, a lie. Pain during exercise leads to injury. There's a difference between being uncomfortable and being in pain. Listen to the pain, and stop. Also my muscles are basically stress balls, and tightening those up with too much strength training is bad.

In physical therapy today, the aide tried to push me past my limits. This is not a good idea with fibromyalgia, and I told her so. I know this body. It cannot be pushed hard like bodies with normal muscle responses. I was on the verge of either crying or cussing her out, so it's good that she didn't push the issue.

I've pushed past my body's limits time and again with fibromyalgia , and it's always a bad idea.we
