Just finished @StephanieKelton's important book, The Deficit Myth, which everyone should read. Not only are its arguments especially relevant right now, but it's clear, vivid, well-organized, and persuasive--a perfect summer read for anyone curious about Modern Monetary Theory. @StephanieKelton is purposefully non-technical and rhetorically proficient in The Deficit Myth. Her myth/reality, description/prescription, problems/solutions framing is very effective. Her federal jobs guarantee as shock absorbers is part of a larger car/roads extended metaphor.
