I'm grateful to be a journalist dedicated to the south. I'm grateful to know that my job is to correct the record as the facist state rises. My love for black people is at the core of why I do this.
Legacy media failed the #StopCopCity movement and I will never forget that.
when protests happen and editors are begging black journalists for bylines and begging for someone to explain away white people guilt. I will remember how legacy media didn't see #StopCopCity as something worth covering as the 2024 election is around the corner.
