“But Jesus never talked about sexuality and gender.”

[A thread] 🧵

I often hear this phrase thrown around flippantly as a defense for embracing an “anything goes” approach to LGBTQ+ issues

But it’s not true. Jesus did speak clearly about human sexuality and God’s design. Image In Matthew 19 Jesus was responding to a question about divorce. He referenced Genesis 1 in his answer.

Don’t dismiss this.

In the first chapter of the Bible God reveals two things that Jesus affirmed.

1. God’s DESIRE for humanity
2. God’s DESIGN for humanity.

I’d like to share some lessons learned on my health journey of the past 15 months.

My eyes have been opened to SIMPLE changes that have had a MASSIVE impact on my overall health.

A Better Option Than Abortion
(A thread…)

For 47 years all I knew was that I was adopted. No details about my birth parents. No context. No story. Literally, no knowledge of how my life began. My parents always made being adopted a special thing. They told me how much my birth mother must have loved me to give me a chance to live. To experience the good and the bad in life. To be who God made me to be.

PASTORS IN A PANDEMIC
{A thread}

Everyone has had a truly difficult year and the past 12 months have been brutal, refining and unpredictable. From my perspective, I’ve seen how it’s affected pastors emotionally, mentally and professionally. The role of a pastor is most akin to that of a shepherd in scripture. They care for, guide, protect, lead and sacrifice for their congregation like a good shepherd would the flock under their care. This takes wisdom, patience, experience, tenacity.
