🧵 THREAD: I’m getting bored of hearing our losses were about what Labour didn’t do or is yet to do in power.
Let me be clear: voters switched on us because of what Labour HAS DONE in power.
They judged us for betraying our values through our actions. That came from the top.
What came up on the doorstep was Starmer and when probed this was a local election they said it’s all relative
- Winter Fuel
- Disability Cuts
- Gaza
- Vile Immigration Rhetoric
- Not funding councils
- Social Care
No matter what we did locally.

🧵 THREAD: Prime Minister’s proposals on roads.
(As usual we have no details from DfT just a random list).
💨 20mph Zones: It’s total rubbish that introducing 20mph speed limits are “anti-driver”.
Of the 1,558 people who died in 2021 on our roads; 1,086 were in/on a vehicle
682 were in a car including 13 children. 310 were on a motorbike and 94 were in a van/truck other motorised vehicle.
29% of fatal collisions have speed as the primary factor.
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) not a pro/anti car lobby concluded reducing speed to 20mph
