Their nomination is contained in a list sent to the House of Assembly by the gov and was read on the floor of the House by the Speaker, Uche Ugwu.

THREAD: Police Sergeant, Loveday Obilonu, attached to the Department of Operations of the Imo Police Command HQ Owerri, was shot dead at Okwuuratta road of Chukwuma Nwoha Road, Owerri, on Wednesday.

His family suspects he was assassinated and begs for investigation and justice. His corpse was lying inside the gutter as at the time his cousin, Okara, and police operatives arrived with an ambulance and evacuated him.

Okara told our correspondent the killing of his relative was suspicious.

He said the slain cop’s two phones had been taken to his wife.
