Among the strangest features of GOP internal battles - be it NeverTrump, or conservatives displeased with nominees like McCain or Romney - is this notion that it would be better to throw an election to the Dems and hope a better Republican nominee comes along next time. How can anyone still seriously think that way, especially after Obama's "Pen and Phone" dictatorship and Biden wiping his posterior with the Constitution to plow ahead with his student loan vote-buying scheme? No, guys, it is NEVER safe to just toss a few wins to the Dems.

When pundits wrote a decade or two ago that corruption would become the big story around the world, I was skeptical. People love to COMPLAIN about corruption, sure, but few electorates are prepared to take decisive action against it. Corruption is absolutely inherent to Big Government. Repeat after me, and teach your children: THERE ARE NO CLEAN BIG GOVERNMENTS. Amassing huge amounts of power and money in a central State is like dropping sugar cubes amid anthills.

It is difficult to combat totalitarianism through electoral politics because the whole point of totalitarianism is to seize control of elections. They terrorize and propagandize people for years, then hold a "vote" to find out if their techniques were at least 51% effective. Defeating totalitarianism requires spirited resistance and good humor. Mock them and make them look ridiculous. They can't stand it, because they are driven by self-righteousness. Totalitarians are small people who need to feel large by joining herds and crushing outsiders.

The greatest threat to democracy at present is the deliberate effort to erase nationhood and citizenship through mass migration, against the express wishes of citizens. You don't have much of a "democracy," much less a constitutional republic, if the ruling elite can ignore voters to erase the border and shower benefits and privileges on foreign nationals. It's an explicit rejection of national sovereignty.

The Democrat Party grows increasingly less interested in pretending it cares about American citizens, or feels any sense of duty toward America as a nation. The Party was never really good at this, but at least it used to make some modest efforts. As I've written previously, every Democrat thinks their Sacred Agenda is far more important than any vestigial sense of duty they might feel toward the American people. There is no "American people" to them, just groups of favored constituents and despised enemies.

This once again has me thinking about how everything went nuts in American youth culture during the Great Anti-Bullying Crusade, which was really more about the Left studying and adopting classic bully tactics to impose its ideology on vulnerable young people. One element of the growing social discontent in America today is that you have an entirely feminized Mean Girls ruling class wielding increasing levels of compulsive force to impose its ideology on an essentially masculine middle and lower class.

Capitalism is inseparable from freedom because labor is the most vital form of capital. If you don't own the capital of your labor - yours to invest or sell as you see fit - then you are a slave. If the State owns or controls capital, then it owns or controls YOU. Collectivists will say they aren't talking about enslaving people when they say the State should control all capital. On the contrary, they claim the State is the avatar of The People, the incarnation of their collective will, so The People really own all the capital.

When Dems howl that Trump's re-election would be a "threat to democracy," what they mean is that he might start using the anti-democratic techniques they pioneered: weaponized bureaucracy, politicized federal law enforcement, etc. Those weapons were meant for their hands alone. They'll tell you with a straight face that Trump's 2nd term would be an unprecedented threat to the free press, just days after Biden's handlers sat the press down for a meeting and dictated coverage to them.

Some wonder why they do stuff like this, because it's not "persuading" anyone or winning support to their side - it just makes normal people loathe the Hamas sympathizers even more. The perps do have a goal, but it's not to persuade, win sympathy, or even "raise awareness." Remember these are trained, funded, organized activists. The footsoldiers have been programmed on campus with Oppression Theology, so they think the Sacred Oppressed and their self-appointed "allies" can do no wrong, while all means of lashing out at "oppressors" are justified.

I would caution people on the Right (and Left!) to avoid personality cults, but I think there's more than that going on with Trump's appeal to GOP voters. They're drawn to his boundless self-aggrandizement because they're weary of candidates, and a party, that lacks confidence. For generations now, arguably since Reagan, GOP voters have watched every Dem candidate presented as a messiah, a savior, a towering figure of history and destiny with a sacred agenda nobody could oppose in good faith.

The Harvard story covers the total systemic rot in every corner of the Left. It wasn't "journalists" at big-ticket Gatekeeper of Truth media orgs that exposed the malfeasance, it was outsiders. Big media journalists fought to bury the story and are STILL trying to spin it. The rotting corpse of "journalism" is completely incapable of reporting honestly on this story. Even after Gay's resignation, they're still more interested in political spin than truth. They're literally screaming at you to ignore a major story because of who broke it.

It is no coincidence that frauds proliferate in positions of authority as socialism gains power. Every entity in a socialist system is run by political officers. People with ambitions to become political officers tend to be comfortable with cheating to get what they "deserve." Totalitarian socialism cultivates "leaders" based on ideological reliability and political usefulness, not skill at their nominal jobs. In fact, highly skilled people who succeed on merit are often prickly iconoclasts who make lousy political officers. The system weeds them out.

There are several reasons why DeSantis is struggling to get his campaign into orbit, but the biggest and simplest explanation is that a large portion of the GOP electorate is committed to Trump. They're not looking for an alternative. They don't believe Trump is doomed to lose. For a sizable number of those voters, Trump is effectively the incumbent running for re-election. They don't believe Biden could have beaten him without cheating, and they don't think he can cheat enough to win again, or they think the pandemic was a unique Black Swan event.

This stuff about Jesus being a "Palestinian" or a "refugee" is not mere ignorance. It's intellectual colonization - a demand that you accept some modern political dogma in your religion to make it more "acceptable," or as an act of submission to a hostile ideology. The softer version of intellectual colonization is when Christians insert the manifestly ahistorical "Jesus was a refugee" as bait to get left-wing elites to see Christmas and Christianity a little more favorably. See, we can make our beliefs more useful to you!

The first great awakening for education was during the pandemic, as selfish teachers' unions forced kids to stay home, and parents got a good look at garbage like CRT.

The second is now, as university rocks are overturned to reveal squirming masses of anti-Semitic cockroaches. Of course it's not just anti-Semitism, it's anti-civilization. Oppression theology is itching to assault and dispossess all "occupiers," a very long list that is currently headlined by Jews. Many other targets for theft, violence, and retributive oppression appear behind them.

One of the major products of a generation of intense secularism has been an explosion of fanaticism. "Those who claim to believe in nothing will believe anything" doesn't quite cover it. The deeper problems are ideological polarization and factionalism. To put it simply, over the past few decades ideological groups have realized that fanatical commitment to cause is a powerful force multiplier. A small group of fanatics looks much bigger than it really is, especially on social media.

If you're one of those people obsessed with Palestinian "grievances" after Hamas committed some of the worst atrocities in history - and still commits war crimes every day with human shields - you should understand that YOU are why terrorism works. You're the real objective. Terrorists don't really expect their victims to surrender en masse after some heinous atrocity. Al Qaeda didn't think the United States would give up instantly after 9/11. The true objective of terrorism is not top national leaders who might cave instantly to demands.

Funny how the people who claim to be Twitter war crimes experts and huff about MUH GENEVA CONVENTIONS when criticizing Israel have absolutely nothing to say about the Palestinians firing low-accuracy rockets at civilian targets - and they've been doing that for a long time. Those Palestinian rocket barrages make no pretense whatsoever of addressing military targets. They're just random attempts to murder civilians. They just roll the dice and hope they hit a school. Terrorists steal humanitarian money and supplies to build and fuel those rockets.

Gee, I wonder why terrorist thugs like Hamas like to put their ammo dumps and command centers inside and beneath civilian structures. It's almost as if they know their sympathizers will absolve them of all blame for the civilian casualties they cause by using human shields. If you want more of something, subsidize it. If you want more terrorists launching horrific attacks from behind the safety of human shields, then reward them for doing it. Show them the tactics works, and they will shoulder none of the blame for the casualties they cause.

In the two decades since 9/11, we spent trillions of dollars and lost countless lives, without doing much to liberalize the Islamic world. On the other hand, we now have massive rallies in support of terrorist gangs in our cities. It's similar to the way globalist "engagement" with China did nothing to liberalize Communism. If anything, it's become more autocratic and hostile to Enlightenment values. Instead, WE became more like THEM. We imported authoritarian ideas like their social credit system.

What's the deal with leftist Western Jews and gays supporting Hamas and the Palestinians, who would absolutely murder them without remorse, if it could? It goes back to the Soviet incubation of oppression theology in Western academia. The Soviets used Marxist theory to teach "resistance" groups to set aside their differences and work together against their common class and ideological enemies, the capitalist oppressors. Worldwide socialism was presented as a brotherhood.
