Annamalai was All India 1st in his IPS Cadre. In 2010 when he cleared UPSC, Gen Category cut-off (mains) was 904 & he scored 970. Gen Cat cut-off for mains+interview was 1134 & he scored 1180. DMK can't stomach a farmer reaching heights their first family can only dream of. (1/6)

This tweet has been seen on the timeline and the name UC Berkeley caught my eye as it is one of the top educational institutes. A doctorate from there piqued my interest. 2020-21 (era of complete lockdown):
Gujarat was revenue deficit by ₹21951cr.
Tamil Nadu was revenue deficit by ₹65994cr.

2021-22:
Gujarat is revenue surplus by ₹1208cr- recovery of ₹23160cr.
TN is still revenue deficit by ₹58692cr- recovery of only ₹7301cr. A total of 13 states/UTs have easily outperformed Tamil Nadu when comparing the revenue (surplus/deficit) between 2020-21 & 2021-22. The complete data is downloaded from the RBI website

TNPSC Group-I ranking list had been published on 18.07.2022. All the 137 candidates belong to the reserved category, NONE from general category.
There is more to it.

Here is a detailed thread. Out of the recent ranking lists published for the various posts by TNPSC, only 9 candidates belong to general category (0.5%). 1735 candidates belong to reserved category (99.5%).
