The Myanmar Conflict Map is a new platform for tracking, visualising, and analysing reports of violence in Myanmar. The map offers a framework for understanding the nature and direction of the conflict by analysing available data in six distinct theaters: myanmar.iiss.org.
The Map builds on over 10,000 reports of violent incidents in Myanmar since July 2020, as collected by the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED). The IISS then reviewed and adapted ACLED's data. A full discussion of our methodology is here: myanmar.iiss.org/methodology.
