CHUCK JOHNSON UPDATE: Chuck has officially been released from jail.
Despite the Judge stating he didn't believe Johnson has purged himself of contempt, the judge has released Johnson after he signed 26 authorizations giving the court receivers access to everything from his bank accounts, phone records, and Apple and Google accounts. Chuck Johnson appeared in court noticeably thinner and walking with a limp. Johnson's father told me he had "no expectations" today regarding whether Chuck would be released from jail. Chuck's father appeared visibly frustrated with the situation. While the court was proceeding, Chuck's father kept his eyes closed and head bowed down.

After around three hours in a closed-door meeting between Chuck Johnson and the court appointed receiver, Chuck limped into court with both hand, waist, and feet shackles looking noticeably thinner and with very unkempt facial hair.

Judge Pittman appointed an attorney, Devon Sanders, for Chuck despite his insistence to represent himself. Throughout the hearing Chuck refused assistance from Sanders.

Chuck sat on his side of the court with the mug he stole on his desk. Judge Pittman reaffirmed he assigned Chuck a public defender “as an abundance of caution.”

The judge started off by mentioning he was very disappointed with Johnson's actions during the trial. It should also be noted that Johnson still did not have a lawyer and instead chose to represent himself.

Johnson (surprisingly) appeared in court today, still without counsel. The judge announced that two issues were to be discussed.
1. Johnson having not paid his portion of mediation fees ($5,000).
2. Johnson failing to comply with court ordered discovery and turn over requested documents and information.
