These are intricately carved wooden parrots hold a special place in the wedding ceremony of Dogras.

'Bedi de Suye' are no ordinary parrots!
They're considered divine witnesses, connected to Kāmadeva, the Hindu God of love. Traditionally, 21 parrots were affixed on the Bedi/Vedi (the wedding pavillion).
