The state of Oregon is finally agreeing to cooperate with our federal forces--exactly what we asked for since the nightly violence broke out two months ago.

We're glad Oregon is now correcting their months long error. We will maintain our current, augmented federal law enforcement personnel in Portland until we are assured that the Hatfield Federal Courthouse and other federal properties will no longer be attacked and that the seat of justice in Portland will remain secure.

Last night, an assassin cowardly shot two Federal Protective Service contract officers as they stood watch over a protest. One officer was killed and his partner is in critical condition fighting for his life. Image Deepest condolences to the family members of our fallen hero & our thoughts and prayers are with his partner for a speedy recovery. THREAD: Due to circumstances resulting from the #coronavirus pandemic and the national emergency declaration, @DHSgov, as directed by President @realDonaldTrump, is extending the REAL ID enforcement deadline beyond the current October 1, 2020 deadline. I have determined that states require a 12 month delay and that the new deadline for REAL ID enforcement is October 1, 2021. DHS will publish a notice of the new deadline in the Federal Register in the coming days.

This week @TSA is expecting a record 27 million air travelers. TSA is there to make sure you're safe and secure, so please be courteous and patient. Airports will be busier so afford yourself more time. Also there are some things you can do to ensure a smooth and timely process. Tip 1: Arrive early during the holiday season. 2 hours early for domestic flights and 3 hours early for international flights
