The left wants you to think this is normal.

You see them refer to “pregnant people.” Then you’re asked to list your preferred pronouns at the doctor’s office.

You see @SecMayorkas attack law enforcement officers for enforcing the law—and blame “systemic racism.”

Then… Someone you follow on Twitter got banned for “misgendering” someone.

Then someone else for nothing at all.

This year marks the 400th anniversary of the Pilgrims’ arrival in America.

@TomCottonAR delivered a fitting tribute to the Pilgrims and their story of faith and perseverance.

Perhaps predictably, the speech was attacked by @Ilhan... .@Ilhan's comment, as utterly unserious as it was, demonstrates the crisis confronting modern Americans.

She's not alone dismissing the Pilgrim story or Thanksgiving as a whole. Many of our elite institutions have a knee-jerk reaction to attack or dismiss much of our history.

Numerous “civil rights” bills have been passed by Congress over the years that have nothing to do with civil rights—but how many members are brave enough to point that out and vote against them?

Which brings us to the Black Lives Matter movement... How many mainstream reporters have bothered to delve into the background and founding principles of the rapidly spreading organization?

A few years ago a team of researchers submitted a series of bogus academic papers to academic journals in cultural, queer, race, gender, fat, and sexuality studies to determine if they’d pass peer review and be accepted for publication.

Here's a thread about how that went 😳 Several of the fake research papers were accepted for publication.

The Fat Studies journal published a hoax paper that argued the term bodybuilding was exclusionary and should be replaced with “fat bodybuilding, as a fat-inclusive politicized performance.”

.@maggieNYT recently tweeted a @MotherJones article warning that “hundreds of thousands of voters are set to be purged in two key swing states,” which “potentially” gives Republicans “a crucial advantage by shrinking the electorate.”

None of this, of course, is true. Cynical pieces of this genre, an election-time tradition at this point, only allow Democrats to warn of widespread disenfranchisement and preemptively give aggrieved Democrats such as @staceyabrams a baked-in excuse for losing elections and smearing Republicans.

.@ceidotorg just published a new paper: Wrong Again: 50 Years of Failed Eco-pocalyptic Predictions.

Keep in mind that many of the grossly wrong environmentalist predictions were made by respected scientists and government officials.

Here's a list! In 1969 Stanford biologist Paul Ehrlich told @nytimes “the trouble with almost all environmental problems is that by the time we have enough evidence to convince people, you’re dead... unless we’re extremely lucky, everybody will disappear in a cloud of blue steam in 20 years.”

Joel Martinez estimates @CBP agents in his sector alone save at least one life per day—but they are overwhelmed and lack needed resources. dailysign.al/2WdDk5u @CBP Yesterday @CBP agent Brandon Judd told us the lack of resources to combat the humanitarian crisis at the border has led to low morale and extremely high attrition rates—worsening an already-bad situation. “It’s horrendous...” dailysignal.com/2019/06/25/a-b…

If you don’t like The Daily Signal because you think conservatives should be silent or you just don’t want certain stories told, fine.

It’s a free country.

But to smear us as engaging in dishonest journalism is well … dishonest journalism.

And that’s what just happened. The @Poynter Institute for Media Studies, which describes itself as a group that “champions freedom of expression, civil dialogue and compelling journalism that helps citizens participate in healthy democracies,” has put us on its list of “unreliable news websites."

The Pledge of Allegiance itself has a long and complicated history—but it’s not what the left believes it is.

Here’s a thread to cut through the confusion... First off, the modern pledge is attributed to Francis Bellamy—a Christian socialist who wrote it in 1892 for a celebration of the 400-year anniversary of the voyage of Christopher Columbus.

Californians are leaving for redder pastures—red states with more hospitable tax and regulatory regimes such as Texas, Arizona, and Nevada.

Here's a wake up call from @JarrettStepman California's progressive policies—high taxes, building restrictions, and overbearing environmental regulations—drove up the cost of living and made housing unaffordable.

Today, a 30-foot-long bronze wall stands in Washington, DC—and on this wall is the simple image of a wheat field.

It is a monument to the victims of The Holodomor—a monstrous genocide committed by one of the most ruthless and authoritarian regimes in human history. In 1932, Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, frustrated that he could not crush Ukrainian nationalism, ordered that grain quotas for Ukrainian fields be raised so high that the peasants working the fields would not be left with enough food to feed themselves.
