The tables will be adorned with candles and flowers - plus Xmas crackers which I’ve driven all over the country to acquire off various people haha thank heavens for the mums who buy for next Xmas (and their generosity: giving them to me!) Cos there’s none in shops now of course!
I’ve splashed out and bought bottles of prosecco (blech. Too sweet for me but our guests will love it) so they’ll sit down and have a laugh, read their bad cracker joke, don their hats etc while we pour them some bubbles .. then they will be told to hit the buffet tables!

Dad is OK! 🙏🏻 It wasn’t a Waratah - and for that we should be thankful - or it’d be wayyyy worse news. His “abnormal fitness” (for a man of his age) saved the day, said the surgeon. And had I not found him when I did, I suspect it could’ve been a different story. His first words?
“Well that was a silly thing to do.” Then he apologised for ruining our lunch plans 🤦♀️💕 How it missed vital organs is .. a miracle! He will have to take it slow but he’s gonna be fine. So .. just a question: Can I cry now? 😅 I will admit to feeling rather guilty last evening..

One year ago today I watched the #canadaconvoy kick off. I just knew there would be one in NZ (and that I’d get involved!) Never done anything quite like it before and don’t regret it, even if I didn’t much enjoy the last day. Let’s share memories of that epic time, I’ll start:
The day it hauled thru’ Napier the weather was vile. Torrential | sideways rain, yet throngs of people lined the streets. It still brings a tear to my eyes remembering that drive. The toots, waves and the fabulous signs: kiwis came together to fight Ardern’s illegal mandates 🖤

Bit of a frustrating day today (Jane needs a whinge 😬) I loaded up a sharing shelf at 7.30am. A man arrived and sat in his van watching (I got an instant bad vibe which I know to trust) he came for a peruse when it seemed I was finished. Something made me loiter tho (1/...?)
I pretended to be sorting the crates and saw him take three boxes of goodies to his van until finally I said “Can you please leave something for others?” To his credit be bought one box back .. (Could be cos he saw me take his pic?) 😈 but it all kinda felt bad vs good 😐
