1/10 @splcenter has just laid off 80+ of the most talented advocates I've known & entirely eliminated its immigrant justice and Teaching for Justice programs. SPLC leadership is all about spin, and they'll put a spin on this. But make no mistake, this is a win for the right wing. 2/10 I worked at @splcenter 's immigrant justice practice group for 12 years. led it, and I developed its program representing detained immigrants in the Deep South. I'm proud of what we accomplished. SPLC has now turned its back on its decades-long struggle for immigrant justice
