From 1979 to 1999 my father was serving the IDF in Lebanon. During the summer of 82 he decimated Muslim villages in southern Lebanon and shelled neighborhoods in Beirut. Afterwards he was mainly working with the South Lebanese army, the SLA.

Oct 7th has another meaning for me which I decided to share. Exactly 100 years ago my grandfather was born, on Oct 7th 1924, and with him the important legacy of endurance, resilience, and victory of the Jewish nation.🧵
He was born to a nomadic Jewish family that lived within the borders of the Ottoman Empire. They were forced to move west after the empire collapsed. They attempted to settle in Eastern Europe but encountered WWII and the extermination of the Jewish people.
