There are some comparisons between Czech and Polish Forces and that is fine by me, as long as it is not dickmeasuring and out of context mumbling.
Lets put things into perspective in this thread🧵
Population
Economy&Politics
Funding
Strategic Reality & History
⬇️1/x
POPULATION
🇨🇿: 11 millions
🇵🇱: 38 millions
This parameter alone allows Polish Forces to be (and they are) larger by several times. Without other implications, multiplication factor is roughly 3,5.
Of course, that is without said politics, actual funding etc.

I like details. And there are 4 interesting ones on the CV9035 Mk.IV presented at Eurosatory 2024, that I have noticed
1) What seems to be upgraded CMS-1 commander COAPS (EOPS in case of CV) made by Czech EVPÚ Defence company. CMS-1 isnt used one the CV for the first time
⬇️1/8
Since it has been used with the testing Mk.III+ vehicle and its E30 turret, during Czech and Slovak military trials. And was also presented with the CV9035 Mk.IV already.
That is a change from Israeli solution that was applied to first Mk.IV presentation model and that..

"Its the little things". Yeah details matter (to me atleast) so here is not really that interesting thread 🧵about...
Smoke grenade dischargers on CV90, coaxial machine gun positions and more interesting bits about CV90.
Spoilers. Czech variant will be quite interesting.
⬇️1/
Lets start where it started. Sweden. Mk.0, used to this day as Strf9040A/B/C.
A/B. 3 externally mounted on both sides of the turret. So 6 smoke dischargers.
Same case also with Strf9040C (to my surprise). Yet there, they were moved into a different position, higher.

Pandur II made by 🇨🇿 EA company with Cockerill 3015 turret used by Indonesian Armed Forces.
With coming MLU of current Czech Pandur II CZ fleet and acquisition of more in new NG (EVO) standard, this FSV could be a decent reinforcement for 4th rapid deployment brigade.
🧵⬇️1/6
With complete modernization of 7th mechanized brigade as a heavy element, with Leopards 2A8 and CV90mk.IV. Czech High Command doesnt want 4th brigade to be left behind and so it wants to modernize and build up capabilities of this medium brigade as well

THREAD 🧵

While this tank still retains multiple flaws of the T-72 design. The T-72M4CZ is actually a very decent modernization that arguably puts it very close to most modern Russian MBTs.

Czech CV-90 Master THREAD
CV-90mk.IV and why is it the ideal IFV for Czech Armed Forces, its demands, situation and national specifics. Lets look at this IFV more closely, since it is the new generation of IFV that will stay with us for decades to come.
⬇️1/
Even though the CV-90 was born in the 90´s, the Mk.IV (being its latest version), actually offers a decent hardware and software solutions package, that arguably still puts it in the tier one of the current IFV design.
Lets start with mobility.

So. Lets look at some realities that are putting this into different light and get some things straight
