Lufthansa Accused Of Antisemitism, Again!

Last year, the @USDOT released part of their 653 page report on a story we broke back in 2022. They found @lufthansa discriminated on the basis of religion and engaged in unfair business practices.

I spoke with multiple passengers today, who allege they, too, were unfairly targeted by Lufthansa in Prague.

In the end, Lufthansa allegedly went around the boarding area targeting only visibly Jewish passengers, while ignoring all other passengers present.

If you want Lufthansa to stop with this despicable behavior, like, comment, and share this tweet.

Full story below:Image First of all. We receive reports on a near-daily basis from poorly treated passengers around the world. While we can’t investigate most of them, and we decline to write about many others after investigating, some make the cut for egregious behavior. This is one of those cases.

As in the 2022 incident, these passengers made a pilgrimage to visit the grave of Rabbi Yeshaya Steiner of Kerestir, known as Reb Shayala Kerestirer, on the 3 Iyar yahrtzeit (date of his passing) in 1925.

They then spent Shabbos in Israel before scrambling to rebook their Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt that was cancelled after a Houthi missile hit the grounds of Ben Gurion Airport.

5 visibly Hasidic Jews flew from Tel Aviv on Bluebird flight 462, which arrived in Prague at 12:36pm today. They were all booked separately.

Meyer Tauber and a friend went to an airport lounge, while others milled about the airport or waited at the gate.

When Mayer got to the gate shortly before boarding, he heard them page him and Herman Deutsch to come to the podium. They asked them if they were ok sitting in an exit row, to which they answered in the affirmative. The gate agent then told them they were going to have to check in their carry-on bags. Mayer asked why that would be, and the agent said it was oversized. When Mayer asked to put his bag in the sizer, he was able to fit it in, but the agent said you aren’t allowed to fit it in, it has to be able to be dropped in without touching it.

Yesterday, Southwest told its loyal customers, "We don't need you."

This runs counter to 60 years of company culture and we have the receipts to prove it. 1/ Image Herb Kelleher co-founded the airline and was CEO from 1981-2001 and chairman until 2008.

He created much of Southwest’s unique culture, including the refusal to layoff a single employee.

He cared deeply and spoke out often about the airline’s culture and values, I am sure if he was still with us, he'd be wearing a bag on his head...

On Sunday, May 5th, @AmericanAir Kicked an orthodox Jewish passenger off a flight due to the actions of an unrelated orthodox Jew.

This story was so outrageous I had to investigate, and after talking to the two passengers involved, the story seems even worse than I thought! Reuvi Scheinerman is removed from American flight 4447:

On Sunday, May 5th, 17 year old Reuvi Scheinerman was flying back to his yeshiva in Connecticut after Pesach break. There are no nonstop flights between Cleveland and Hartford, so his father booked him on an American flight via Washington DC’s Reagan National Airport.

Cleveland’s TSA lines can run very long these days, especially if you don’t have PreCheck and CLEAR. Reuvi doesn’t drive and has no state ID, which isn’t required if you’re under 18 years old. But that also means he can’t get PreCheck or CLEAR.

American offers unaccompanied minor services for 15-17 year olds, but doesn’t require it. Reuvi is in 11th grade and has flown on his own since 9th grade without incident. The very shy boy was dressed in the yeshiva uniform, a white dress shirt, suit jacket, and a black fedora. He had the yeshiva-required kosher flip phone, without the ability to record what happened.

He was thankful to make it through security and board the plane just a few minutes before boarding was scheduled to end for AA flight 4447, an Embraer E175 operated by Republic Airways for American Airlines. He stopped to help a thankful passenger put their bag in the overhead compartment and then went straight to his window seat in 23A, the very last row of the plane. He took his seat and was happy to see that 23B was empty as boarding concluded.

That joy would be short-lived. The AA gate agent came over to him, tapped on his shoulder, and told him to grab his carry-on bag and follow him off the plane. The shy boy complied without making a scene, his father always told him how important it is for Jews to make a Kiddush Hashem. When he was back at the gate he was told to wait while the gate agent closed the doors and sent the flight off. He asked what happened, to which the gate agent told him that he should know what he did wrong. He had no clue.

However, back at the gate he met 21 year old Yehudah Roffman for the first time, who had also been ordered off of the flight.

Here is the story of how a passenger avoided flying on the infamous MH370 flight which mysteriously disappeared 10 years ago.

To date there are many theories about what happened to the plane and why it is still missing.

But one thing we do know for sure, if it wasn't for Andy keeping Shabbos, he would have been on that flight.Image On 01/13/14, Andy emailed his travel agent his desired itinerary: Image

Why have there not been many deals in the past week?

We have been busy, very busy.

Nothing is the same anymore. Hamas has made a generational defining moment when they massacred over 1,000 Jews. And no Jew anywhere in the world can sit still. Everyone is asking what they can do.

This led to us starting a campaign to get 1 pair of tefillin (used by men for prayer) to be put on daily for every soul Hamas has taken from us.

Our goal is that any man that is ready to commit to start putting it on Tefillin every day for life will get a free pair.
Image Here is some of the progress we've made this week:

-1,500+ Men have committed to start wearing tefillin every day.

-Over 652 pairs have already been sponsored.

-180 pairs of tefillin are headed to the front lines of Gaza for soldiers to share with literally thousands of soldiers requesting to wear daily.

-316 pairs of tefillin are being sent out around Israel to men who committed to wearing them daily for life.

-More pairs are being sourced and ordered literally across the Globe, from Israel, to India, to Argentina, to Australia, to the US, UK, & Canada.

-More pairs will be ordered as soon as we get more donations because all of this is only possible thanks to individual donations from YOU!
