affirmation and letting them pass according to their external wordings while negating from them modality (kayfiyya) and likeness to things created (tashbīh). Certain people have contradicted the Attributes and nullified what Allāh had affirmed;

Imām al-Shahrastānī said:

Until the time came upon [the likes of] ʿAbd Allāh b. Saʾīd al-Kullābī, Abū al-ʿAbbās al-Qalānisī [contemporary of al-Ashʿarī], and al-Hārith b. Asad al-Muhāsibī. They were from the generality of the Salaf, however, they practised ilm al-kalām, and they aided the beliefs of the Salaf with theological proofs, and rational evidences. Some of them authored [works] and others taught. Until there occurred a debate between Abū al-Ḥasan al-Ashʿarī and his [Muʾtazilī] teachers

Narrated ibn ʿUmar:

The Prophet (ﷺ) looked at the people of the well (the well in which the bodies of the pagans killed in the Battle of Badr were thrown) and said, "Have you found true what your Lord promised you?" Somebody said to him, "You are addressing dead people."

Imām al-Khaṭīb al-Baghdādī (with an authentic chain) narrated from Imām Abū Hanīfah:

'Two groups of the worst of people are from Khurāsān: the Jahmiyyah and the Mushabbihah' or he said, 'Muqātiliyyah'.

[Tārīkh Baghdād] Ḥāfiẓ ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī said:

"Muhammad ibn Samāʿah narrated
from Abū Yūsuf from Abū Hanīfah that he said: 'Jahm went overboard in negation until he
said: He [Allāh] is nothing,

Asking Nabi ﷺ for forgiveness AFTER his death:

Allāh is exhorting the sinners and evil doers that when they commit sins and errors they should come to the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) and ask forgiveness from Allāh there. They should also request the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) to ask forgiveness for them. When they do so, Allāh will turn to them and show mercy to them and He will forgive them.

Debunking the myth that God and Lord mean different things in the Qur'ān

Imam Ibn Jawzi said:

How could anyone say that the salaf did not use ta-wîl (interpretation) when it is reported in the sahîh that Ibn 'Abbas had presented water to the prophet (ﷺ) for wudu, and the prophet asked [which means:] "Who did this?" Then Ibn 'Abbas replied: "It is I, O Messenger of Allah", then the prophet (ﷺ) said :

"اللهم فقِّهْهُ قي الدين وعلِّمهُ التأويلَ"

Firstly we have to establish that as Muslims we are obliged to believe everything is created by Allah. Every action, every being and every affect are created by Allah. Nothing can happen without the permission of Allah. All harm and benefit comes from Allah. Why is this relevant?
