I like the conversation around whether or not this movie is motivational. I absolutely took motivation from it as I felt as obsessed as the character did in becoming a successful artist, but I’m sure other people would look at what I did and choose to never do that either I related to a lot of it, I alienated myself by working 16 hour days non stop for years, severed ties without even meaning to and definitely felt it was irresponsible of me at times to try and commit to relationships

but, I'm here, my life has balance now, I'm very happy

yup, the entry level jobs are necessary for artists to get a foothold and start to evolve as artists while making an income -you won't have all those delicious styles to feed your AI monsters without new beautiful artists, don't forget that or else shit will be derivative forever I don't want to really have a back & forth with the pro AI side as I get it for the most part - my main take away is most of the people don't understand how things are made, how creativity works and how art is not simply a commodity, it's an expression of an individual, obviously

I know you're all scared, but you know what came after the Black Plague? Well, the forests grew thicker, lusher, taller, greener and inevitably meaner, there was whisper among the elder oaks as to how their kind fell so far, so they turned their warring eyes of the humans And the nights grew so hungry they devoured the day until there was only black, a darkness so deep that no hope shown in the midnight pitch. That's when they came, the memories of man, 5 ethereal riders of deathly sick tortured souls, guilt incarnate for the living who remained.

how to improve at art -

Draw/paint fundamentals for 1 hour to 2 hours every day

Apply your studies without reference by simply trying to recall what you learned and using it in whatever imagination work you're doing

The key is developing discipline, do this for years You'll eventually memorize and be able to create from imagination, use your own resources to find anatomy books and all that online, be self directed, youtube stuff, do whatever you gotta do to find online education. There is a ton of good info available, you just need the hours
