I am disappointed with BRS findings of the defamation trial, because I am so angry that an elite Australian soldier was able to keep committing war crimes whilst the Defence hierarchy not only protected him but rewarded BRS. I thought Australia was so much better than thread 🧵 The many war criminals
I investigated in my career, sadly it has been covered up from his colleagues through the legal advisers right up the chain of command. How Brereton found that there was no command responsibility demonstrates that the ADF can never be trusted to investigate

Today is a significant but weird day for me, 10 years ago I was a civilian working to help the Afghan people, & 10 years since I survived a Suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan. smh.com.au/world/canberra… 2/ It was a 6kg SIED. I was blown 10m receiving 64 ball bearings, including 1 in my spine.
Do I celebrate being alive? I find it hard to do so, knowing that the bomber was a 12-year-old child

9 years ago today an act of despicable cowardice was countered by many acts of bravery. Taliban dispatched a innocent 12 year old child with a suicide vest on to blow me up. I survived, but the poor child of course didn’t as a result of incredible bravery of young Australian Soldiers who raced out of FOB Mirwais in Uruzgan province Afghanistan to assist me and 4 critically wounded US Soldiers also a section of US Navy Seals who were resting at the base also came out - no doubt saving our lives within 52 minutes I was on the operating table at
