Oh dear, Peter Elston rather appears to be back-pedalling after his tweets in recent days regarding Mark McDonald – Letby’s layman-barrister.

Perhaps he is pretending not to know what reverse-instructed means, or perhaps he may have paymasters who are not too happy with him.

Of course confirming that McDonald was never instructed is a little awkward for their whole narrative – two press conferences, the endless documentaries, podcasts and interviews – when Shoo Lee or any of the numerous “experts” claiming Letby’s innocence cannot possibly have seen the babies’ data-protected medical records if McDonald was not instructed, despite him claiming to have handed them round like a box of chocolates.

If McDonald had been instructed by Letby’s legal team then he would have no need to reverse-instruct any solicitor. However there are at least three solicitors that McDonald has apparently used since first claiming he had been instructed by Letby in September 2024.

Elston was McDonald’s right-hand man at the first press conference. 2/15Image

BABY F - A THREAD

Doctor Shoo Lee and his panel appear to have been very misinformed in reaching the conclusions they did regarding Baby F.

I do wonder just what information was passed to them/

#lucyletby @legalmarkmc @johnsweeneyroar @drphilhammond @jontay44 @evenhanded909 @DavidDavisMP @NadineDorriesImage Baby F was given a tiny dose of insulin for hyperglycaemia on 31st July which resolved it and his hypoglycaemic episode began on 5th August.

Hyperglycaemia is fairly common in babies up to 48 hours after birth as their insulin production kicks in. Insulin last minutes in the system.

The report claims that Baby F had sepsis and after the hypoglycaemia began Dr Gibbs wrote a note, "query sepsis" and gave him antibiotics which was a standard within COCH NNU, but Baby F didn't have sepsis.
