What the general Canadian public is not aware of,but workers in some industries are,is that China continually uses Canada,and has been using it for some time.China works its goods into Canadian products and its economy, why?Because Canada, has or had, tariff free access to the US It allowed China to get its manufactured products into the US and use Canada as a backdoor to do it. The problem is the Canadian public needs to be more aware of this, which it isn't. Canada's manufacturing, something parties like the NDP used to support, has declined massively

Was reading another story on foreign interference (who needs sleep?) And thought I'd add this just to reinforce it, not all states have the same goals when it comes to interference. Sometimes I noticed govt (and MPs) bring up Russia. The aims of these countries differ when it comes to this subject. Russia has often engaged in attempts to sow confusion, discord and sow doubt in elections. PRC aims have been noticeably different.

The Rosenberg Report is out and I have some comments. I'll preface this by saying I've had a quick read through and might have some more substantive things to say later, time permitting (and time is in short supply). canada.ca/en/democratic-… Overall it's good but unlikely to satisfy concerns about FI in the 2021 election because the report itself acknowledges some important limitations. First, SITE feeds the Panel of civil servants that would be charged with making an announcement of whether interference occurred.
