My cultural heart bleeds for #Ukraine 🇺🇦. A simple (but necessary)🧵on the damage or otherwise invasive changes to Ukrainian cultural heritage in the #RussianUkrainianWar. #History #Art #Kharkiv #Art museum. Founded in 1920. It houses 25.000+ of paintings & sculptures (including Repin, Semigradsky & Dürer). The museum lost entire collections in #WW2. It was struck by a rocket strike on 8-3-2022. No damage to its collection registered, but its future looks grim. ImageImage
