People act like this quest was some lore accurate exploration into World of Warcraft's darker past. It's not. It's a quest that contradicts things we already know about the timeways and time travel and completely mischaracterizes Chromie. It's badly written all on its own.

I've been seeing tweets along the lines of "renting isn't throwing money away because I don't want to deal with all the huge problems a landlord has" and I gotta tell you, it feels like a psyop Imo people tend to rent rather than buying because it's been made impossible to buy unless you already are lucky enough to have a lot of money up front for a giant deposit. Not because they'd rather not have the "responsibility" of a landlord.

On the other, it's hilarious that GCs spent ages saying "terf is a slur" and rebranding to GC only to complain that's also a slur now, because there is not a name in the universe that won't immediately become tainted by what they are. It's impossible to hide the rot, it will show

They knew the lore enough to mention Alexstrasza's abuser - a character a lot of people *wouldn't* know -by name. They knew enough to know she had reason to be visibly upset. What exactly did they think this story was about? Not even going into the fact that it's just wild to see people "defend" writers by basically claiming they're ignorant and bad at their jobs - when I write a lore article about a character or incident I have limited knowledge about I put in five minutes to look it up

I'm not someone who flips the lid over half finished quests on the PTR or half-data mined models. I'm not someone who claims you can never address the darker storylines in World of Warcraft, or someone who jumps to unfair interpretations just to get outrage going. I feel like I've earned at least enough good grace to be taken seriously when I say this quest is bad, it's really bad, and why, without it being insinuated that I'm overdramatic or impatient or don't understand that sometimes the story is dark. But I guess I'm wrong.

It can be confusing when people use progressive-sounding language to push their views, and other people use progressive-sounding language to say those views are actually regressive.

Guild asks us to at least try to do one mythic+ a week if we want to raid, so I've been doing that, & I have to admit something: I *do not get* the appeal of mythic+ dungeons and honestly kinda wish the entire system was never invented. (not really, because other people love it) I don't get it. My husband and I both had suspicions about the outcome of the movie because of little clues from the start.
