The British Journal of Photography is "The world's longest running and most influential photography magazine". They joined twitter in 2008 with the user name @1854 and accrued over 253k followers.

So, how did they get from there to here? NFTs.

A thread 🧵 Like Artnet (and other artist-facing businesses), @1894 decided to go all in on NFTs. Instead of creating a new account, they simply changed their Twitter handle to @ART3io and became "A better way to discover, collect, buy and sell NFT photographic art".

It's 9pm on Christmas eve, dumping rain in our neighborhood and I just got one of the weirdest calls of my life. (some mentions of violence below) It has been a particularly violent year on our block with many women getting attacked within 50ft of our apartment throughout the year. I helped two of them after their attacks, but they told me not to call the cops for fear their attackers would hurt them even more.
