As Vice President Vance pointed out yesterday, there is no equivalency or "both sides" argument to be made about political violence. Support for violence is orders of magnitude worse on the Left. "Political violence is sometimes justified" is a mainstream Democrat Party position. There are good reasons for this. One is that Democrat political rhetoric has shifted almost entirely to contempt-signaling. The Party does little but spew bile at those who disagree with its decrepit ideology, or try to enforce laws the Party doesn't like.

If a white supremacist had just assassinated a leading black activist, and hundreds of his supporters were applauding and baying for more blood online, there would be absolutely zero hesitation to identify them and get them fired. It would be a national media crisis. By far, the biggest story in every major media outlet would the shocking and terrifying discovery that countless bloodthirsty racists were living among us. They're your doctor, your postman, they're teaching your kids... it would be framed like a horror movie.

Since the moment Trump was re-elected, the entire Democrat strategy has been to paint him as illegitimate, a menace to democracy. He's a "king" who needs to be overthrown. Dem officials have EXPLICITLY called for violent resistance against ICE - nothing coy about it. The Democrat Party has been cheering a judicial insurrection, when they would scream absolute bloody murder if rogue judges did the same thing to THEM. The implicit message is that it's okay for judges to abuse their power because all resistance to Trump is justified.

I'm all in favor of swift and effective action against left-wing domestic terror organizations and their financiers, but this is also a time to redouble our efforts to crush the Democrat Party by convincing sane and reasonable people to leave it. The key to ramping down political violence in American right now is reducing the Democrats to a helpless rump party, surrounded by their tiny band of squalling freaks on social media baying for blood. It is very doable. We could do it in the next two election cycles.

Democrats have completely lost the ability to pretend they give a damn about the lives and fortunes of hard-working, law-abiding Americans. They just brandish doctored reports that say AKSHUALLY crime is down .0025% so stop complaining about all the murders on their watch. Dems used to be pretty good at feigning empathy and understanding for middle class concerns. They hated you, sure, but they had consultants who told them what issues they should pretend to be Deeply Concerned about, so they could keep harvesting your votes.

The alliance between Democrats and violent street criminals is not difficult to understand. Remember, the Left thinks crime is an understandable response to "inequity." Society is to blame for the actions of criminals. Social policy is the only way to address crime. The Left has devoutly believed this for decades, but they learned to mask and camouflage their crime theory after the massive public backlash and sustained ridicule in the late 70s and 80s. Bleeding hearts who claim society is holding the mugger's knife became caricatures.

As Democrats are pushed to the edge of a cliff, fighting for garbage like mass illegal migration and judicial tyranny, it is increasingly difficult for the party to pretend it cares about law-abiding Americans or the issues that matter to them. Dems don't speak American any more. GOP leaders are often criticized for their inability to find a hill worth dying on. Dems know the hills they have to die on: massive illegal migration to replace American voters, irresponsible government spending to pay off their key supporters, vote fraud, imperial bureaucracy.

Even in an age of record-setting media bias and incompetence, the question of whether Harwood either couldn't read to the end of a 33-word message, doesn't know what "prayer" is, or simply lied for outrage clicks is interesting.

There are no other explanations for why Harwood shot himself in the foot with this post. All three of the possible explanations illuminate different reasons why public trust in the media is, very deservedly, at an all-time low.

The Cloward-Piven and Alinsky tactics of the Left presume only authoritarian governments can defend against systemic attacks. They believe a constitutional republic can be mortally wounded by breaking its laws, then demanding extravagant legal process for the lawbreakers. Authoritarian regimes would simply shut those attacks down by fiat, hardly sparing a second thought for the "legal rights" of the systemic attackers. They would rewrite those "rights" on the fly, then go after the masterminds of the sabotage as traitors.

The core understanding of Western foreign policy for decades has been that America will pick up the tab for everything, without saying a word about its national interests or demanding the slightest bit of respect. That ended decisively today. I've been writing about Ukraine since Euromaidan, Crimea, the rise of Zelensky. There were things I liked about him, and some things that made me suspicious. Putin is a thug who can shed unlimited amounts of blood without hesitation.

Tell me again why Trump is crazy to think the only way to deal with people like this is to put them somewhere they can't harm anyone else. This is an anti-civilization, ruined beyond repair.

Tell me again why carving strategic territory out of Israel to give Palestinians a state would be totally safe and humane. Tell me how people who parade the bodies of murdered children can "govern" a nation responsibly.

The caricature of the Left is that it hates rich people, but in truth the Left ADORES rich people with correct politics, and profits from selling them dispensations from its insane ideological demands. That's how you get millionaire celeb "climate warriors" with private jets. The middle class is who the Left really hates. The middle class is a potent political enemy that the Left misses no opportunity to impoverish, subdue, or demoralize. Nothing is more inimical to socialism that average people who own capital and vote in large numbers.

Let's see a Venn diagram of people who constantly demand minimum wage increases, and people who think corporations should be allowed to import gigantic amounts of foreign employees because they'll work longer hours for less pay than Americans will accept. The current immigration debate is a very large part of an argument that is still somewhat larger: the essence of nationhood, the meaning of citizenship, and the duties of elected officials to the legitimate citizens of their own country.

The reactions to the Daniel Penny and Luigi Mangione stories show us two major cultural shifts intersecting: Normal people are weary of crime, and the Left is growing increasingly feral as it loses its grip on normal people. Left-wing ideology always has a whiff of the death cult about it, because leftists are in love with power, and killing is the ultimate expression of power. They swoon over murderers like Che Guevara and romanticize the use of violence to advance political ends.

One reason the Left is so obsessed with transgenderism is that it represents the ultimate triumph of politics over physical reality: using compulsive force to make the vast majority of people profess to believe something they KNOW is not true. Even more than abortion theology, transgenderism elevates political power above natural law and biology. The State shall decree that these men are women, and you will be forced to pretend you believe it. You will not be allowed to voice the most calm and reasoned dissent.

Dems are acting like Baier assaulted her, but he asked reasonable and pertinent questions - and she didn't answer a single one of them. She just tossed out the usual vapid platitudes and word salads. No other media outlet would even have bothered asking the questions.

This is one of the strongest reasons to vote for Trump, if you're still on the fence: we need better media. We need the White House to be constantly challenged and interrogated. We absolutely do NOT need four years of the North Korean Dear Leader coverage Kamala is getting.

People talk like "accountability" is a luxury that the very best governments MIGHT aspire to have, but it's actually the whole ball game. Any system that allows government to function without accountability or consequences is guaranteed to end in corruption and tyranny. Politicians tend to prosper by promising favored constituencies they can insulate them from consequences. The government is a wizard whose magic wand can banish the laws of cause and effect, supply and demand.

You're no friend of "democracy" if you support a Party that's furiously trying to rig the polls with massive illegal migration and expects you to vote for a gibbering imbecile whose entire resume is an unbroken string of lies. You're not embracing the spirit of democracy by voting blindly to give an aggressive political party more power, while imposing absolutely no accountability upon it for failures and lies. That's exactly what Democrats are demanding of their voters right now.

One reason the Church of Global Warming spread like wildfire to become the dominant religion of the worldwide political class: it offers a perpetual excuse for government failure. No matter how badly your policies screw things up, you can blame climate change. Assuming we go with the polls, the second possibility is that Trump still can't crack that fabled "ceiling" on his support. Even if he and the GOP have a huge lead on the issues, too many voters personally dislike him to translate that into a huge lead in the general election.

There will be people who fall for the "vibes" and "joy" nonsense, or vote for Kamala just because she's young and has historic skin, but there will also be plenty of voters impressed with how Trump and Vance fearlessly answer questions and hustle for their votes. This Democrat campaign is absolutely dripping with contempt for hard-working Americans, in every detail - from the Big Lies told to keep Joe Biden in power, to the palace coup that replaced him, to the condescending tone of their hate-filled convention.

Starting to wonder if the stolen valor scandal might just bring the Harris-Walz ticket down. It makes him look like the weaselly liar he is, and older Dem voters in swing states still care about military service. Kamala can't dump him without looking like an utter dingbat. The Harris campaign boxed her in by spreading a bullshit story that she chose Walz because her gut experienced an amazing hunch of insight two days ago. (The real reason, of course, is that Shapiro is a Jew and her kook base bullied her out of picking him.)
