Judgement day has arrived and it has potentially historic implications for Scots law and its current "unjustifiable restrictions" to a proper legal remedy in malicious prosecution claims.

Thread: In 2007 I led the campaign to get formal recognition for the victims of the loss of the Lancastria.
The UK Government pointedly refused to do anything so instead we petitioned Holyrood, calling on @scotgov to strike a commemorative medal. Image @AlexSalmond subsequently told me the advice he got from the head of the Scottish civil service was not to do it.
Alex told me he spoke to his own Dad about it and decided to go ahead as it was the right thing to do, regardless of the official advice.

Earlier today @CraigMurrayOrg was detained, returning from Iceland, under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
He was there meeting other #FreeAssangeNOW activists and Wikileaks.
He was also questioned about his attendance at a #Palestinian protest outside the Icelandic Parliament. His phone and other electronics have been seized by British authorities.

UK should not be acting as an adjunct of the apartheid colony of Israel and the rule of law should be upheld.

Even "Honest John" knows the gig is up.

During his term as "leader" he lost the SNP 100,000 votes.

He was prone to slip unregistered cash donations to favoured MSPs, to be "slipped into a collection tin somewhere" away from the pesky, snooping eyes of the @ElectoralCommUK If you think the current SNP leadership race is toxic, the Sept 2000 leadership was easily on a par.
I remember standing in the Palace Hotel with then Sunday Post Editor Campbell Gunn when Swinney burst into the bar following the hustings between him and @AlexNeilSNP
