The outrage fest about Notting Hill Carnival is tiresome and to be honest manufactured.

I was asked to be the face of a ghost-written, negative, verging on racist piece by the Daily Mail paper last year and eventually turned it down because it was a complete misrepresentation of what I witnessed whilst I was there.

The violence etc that happens is of course not acceptable but it’s estimated that 2 million people attend the festival every year. And yes of course it’s not all a ‘celebration’ of Caribbean culture, some people use it for their own means which is a far cry from celebrating Caribbean culture.

But the fact I was called up to write that piece and then this year again there’s this routinely pumped out effort to give it negative press just smells of a divisive agenda.

Every time I think I’m going to tweet again , I open this app and am confronted by people angry about the same things, repeating the same talking points of the last 3 years.

Current affairs has become so stale and genuinely just boring. When you switch off and stop consuming the negativity deliberately shoved down our throats through apps like this one, you can actually appreciate the good that still exists in the world.

For the people still wondering why we have a problem with Sam Smith pushing the degenerate and satanic Hollywood agenda.

We don’t want dark, nasty energy like this influencing our children. It’s got nothing to do with his sexuality. It’s got everything to do with celebrities being used to push an extremely dark agenda and then pretending it’s about sexuality.
