At some point we're going need to deal with some out of control hyperpartisanship if we are going to be productive moving forward.
The GOP posted this. Some of the replies from people who clearly see Trump for what he is, but still hate any Democrat as evil/extreme... smdh
First, objectively it's simply not true. This is not Sanders-AOC.
Second, if you can't see liberals/progressives/Democrats as @SenJohnMcCain saw them (as people qe have policy disagreements with, not enemies) then, frankly, you are party of the extremism that gave us Trump.

Let me tell you one of the conservative principles I believe in.
The beginning of this country was in large part because people were trying to tell those who lived here what to believe, who to believe in, etc. Not a good idea back then, and it's not a good idea now.
So while I absolutely support, at a personal level, things that are described as socially conservative, I am absolutely conservative about maintaining that separation of church and state. And that America should never be about conformity, especially when it comes to religion.
