A man slaughtered a big cow, lit the grill and said to his daughter.
“Daughter, call our relatives, friends, and neighbours to eat with us... let us feast!"
His daughter took to the street and started shouting.
“Please help us put out a fire at my Dad's house!".
After a few moments, a small group of people came out and the rest acted like they didnt hear the cry for help.
Those who came ate and drank until late.
The stunned father turned to his daughter and said to her.
“The people who came I barely know them, some I'd never seen them...

I think why I have not become wealthy was because I never wanted to cheat or take what doesn't belong to me. I have people on this platform that know this story firsthand, I was head of department but I refused the request by some oga to pad the budget of my department.
My department happens to be the most crucial to the establishment that requires proper funding. I had the capacity to request for new equipments every year while the ones bought the previous years are still functioning well but I never did.

When the dust settles, you will realize that nothing actually changed.
u will see that APC numbers in the Senate and House of Representatives didn’t reduce likewise they didn’t lose the presidency.
u will see that the pre anointed senate president Orji Uzor Kalu didn’t lose...
...his seat despite the Labor party wave that sweeps through SE. With all the corruption charges against him and the Labor party wave, how did he survive?
How did APC get to win senatorial seat in Ebonyi even with this huge labor landslide in the East?

MY EXPERIENCE: The Obi-Datti Campaign at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan today
I went to Adamasingba today for two reasons
Long thread 🧵 #OyoWelcomeObiDatti#OyoObidattiRally#Ibadan1. To confirm or demystify what naysayers are saying about SW especially Oyo not receptive of Obi, that we Yoruba do not like him 2. To have a glimpse of this man live has I have never seen him before except on media
Considering the distance to my place, I shouldn't think of it,

In 2000 from iyana-ipaja to ìgandò, as a jambite I was excited to be resuming at LASU. As we are close to the final bus stop. I became sick in the bus & as people were alighting from bus at the last bus stop, I began to vomit inside the bus.
Thread 🧵🧵
The bus driver and conductor (Yoruba like me) pounced on me and started beating the shit out of me, asking me to pack my vomit. I begged for mercy speaking Yoruba back to them and they beat me the more while other roadside sellers (Yoruba) were just watching.

At a Yoruba joint yesterday , we were discussing the elections. A person came in and told us that Yoruba that support Igbo were bastards. He went on to tell us about the civil war. How Ojukwu did this and that. We nodded along. He made a lot of sense.
We should all support our own tribe. After all, if all Yoruba vote BAT, and only Igbo vote Obi and only Fulani vote Atiku, we would have a winner. So the idea made sense to me. There is nothing bad in ethnic politics. Why would anyone wish to be be a bastard?

You see the reality of politics is that you must cut deals. Elections are not won on social media. They are won off it. Politics is a dirty game Worldwide.
But I refuse to get into some narratives. It does not make sense to me. I know the ethnic card is a play to emotions.
Politicians are all guilty of it.
It was used to oust Bola Ige for Olunloyo in the old Oyo State. Bola Ige had said some defamatory things about Ibadan people. Ibadan people responded with “Omo wa ni, e je ose” (his our own, let him do it). Olunloyo is from Ibadan.

I feel sad when pple attack others on the basis of supporting a different aspirant,I think it a low. It speaks to the quality of our discourse here.
Let me say this.I dont perceive any of the candidates as a god nor will I sell any as such. We dont want another Buhari situation.
The man was sold as faultless and many of us shut down dissenting opinions on his aspirations. This continued till when he won. To criticize him, meant you were wailing. See where we are. BAT is no god. He did not discover Lagos. Obi is no Saint. He is a politician.

The current bleating from the Camp of the Shaking and Falling is now Yoruba Ronu in futile attempts to shore up his chances.
Today, we will deconstruct it.
If you drive into Ikoyi via dolphin estate, there is a massive building on ur right that has been left to decay...THREAD
The said building is also very visible from the Obalende Passport Office Axis. The
building is the old federal secretariat office that was being built just before General Babangida decided that the Orkar coup was too much of a close call & the idea for FCT went into full force.
