The Trump comprehesive plan for Gaza is anything but. It is not comprehensive, but dangerously vague. It is not a plan - but a series of points. It is not for Gaza or Palestinians but for Netanyahu. 1/ This is a surrender or die deal offered to Hamas. Take it and their leaders can live and leave. Amnesties are available but it would be disarmed and out of power. Refuse, and Trump was clear that Netanyahu will have total US support for Israel to “finish the job”. Chilling. 2/

The arguments of these politicians, that include 10 lawyers, are as leaky as a Thames Water pipe and just as toxic. It is not a violation of international law to recognise a state - period. No law is being violated. 1/

Biden's announced plan is similar but different in various respects to what what Hamas accepted back on 6 May but Israel rejected. Both 3 phases. Met families in Sheikh Jarrah under threat of forcible eviction. One family had to share their property with settlers. Had little faith that international law would be applied.
