I think at the heart of the problem is that since DSM-III in 1980, we have had a mental health “diagnostic” system based on symptom clusters.

1. I saw someone post that 'Bipolar Disorder' (something from a 'manual' called the DSM) is an 'illness' with 'a high genetic load' & can occur without trauma & psychosocial stressors. People don't just become psychologically unwell for no reason. Thoughts on this? #mentalhealth 2. Every person I've ever seen with this diagnosis has experienced trauma; coincidence? 🫢 This person said I described 'bipolar' as 'mood swings'; she has a tendancy of lying. Desperate. I've seen several people with this label (given to them by a psychiatrist) for psychotherapy
