Just heard my first anti-Harris Gaza ad. Yet another screamingly obvious hypocrisy except to his cult members. Obviously from Trump campaign—leftists who actually oppose genocide are speaking out in various outlets but aren’t paying for ads AFAIK. Stein not mentioned. 1) Trump wasn’t mentioned either. All it said was Harris is spilling blood in Gaza & putting Israel over “us.” Zero claim Trump would do anything different, so one lie they actually skipped since he would obviously be at least as bad & probably worse even just on this. 3)

I couldn’t be more pro choice & more furious at bans & lies. But gloatingly claiming that miscarriages are abortions is not just cruel to those of us who have had them, but scientifically incorrect. 1) Abortion is shorthand general medical term for a pregnancy that ends without live birth before roughly 20 weeks, after which it is called stillbirth. But full correct term for chosen procedure is induced abortion, while miscarriage is spontaneous abortion. 2)

Worst thing about refusing to restore female diaconate is massive denial of crucial ministry to God’s people. Second worst: it reveals corruption of imperialist infallible magisterial claims. Because both JP2 & B16 knew it was wrong, refused to change, & concealed truth. 1) John Paul the Not Great & Benedict had plenty of moral failings, especially enablement of clergy sexual abuse. But were both excellent scholars, who departed from usual practice & wrote all their own documents instead of various quantities of editing before rubber stamping. 2)

Pope Francis is awesome for women! Because he denies even historically & theologically proven deacon ordination. Which would degrade us by “masculinizing” the church. 1) I.e Victorian “Angel of the House.” It’s sheep, not pigs, who are the animals more equal than others. But we need to courageously acknowledge & call out horror of hierarchy’s clear overwhelming reason for canonizing her & other girls & women “martyrs of chastity”: that died instead of losing her purity by submitting to rape. 1/ Which —implicitly but clearly —means those of us who did submit to save our lives lost ours. Even if church officials don’t agree with extent of Rupnik’s evil, what would it hurt to take the mosaics down, given how many survivors have implored it? Number one cause of death in pregnant & postpartum women is homicide. Overwhelming by men, majority intimate partners, ironically sometimes same ones who tricked or forced unwilling conception. 1/ At least sometimes—I would guess usually—killing fetus as well. Can anyone find statistics on stage/death/survival rates? My search, of course, only turned up bizarre & vanishingly rare situation of women perpetrating to kidnap baby, which would presumably be close to birth. 2/

Think I have found my Twitter doofus managing tone: “Wow!” I have X knowledge/experience of topic & have never seen anyone in Y group saying/doing claimed Z.
