“Smith says anyone who is sick will be able to walk into one of these Shoppers clinics and get care.”
I say this is incredibly dangerous for patients and potentially costly to taxpayers via misuse of resources, redundancy and error…1/
I’m 💯 for collaborative teams providing primary care. Research has shown it’s the way to go. This however is more siloed care. 103 independent privately owned businesses offering up care to Albertans for things they aren’t trained to do…2/

I’ve spent 25yrs solving the undifferentiated patient. My generalist lens gives me good insight into the human condition...I’ve seen the best & the worst & everything in btwn /1
I’m a keen observer of words people choose, yet more so of the one’s they don’t. I notice non-verbal cues that tell me they are not ok despite the message they tried to send. These honed skills help me as I interact in other venues & at other tables. /2

Fellow physicians in Alberta, I had a friend/colleague of mine, Eric Wasylenko, make a suggestion...& I think he is absolutely correct. We are facing the worst viral pandemic in 100yrs. We need to focus all our energies on keeping ourselves healthy so we can serve our patients 1/
To do that I need to dis-engage from fighting with @shandro and @GoAHealth
