昆虫食などの代替たんぱく質の話が最近ぞろぞろ出てきているバックグラウンドについて現時点での自分の理解を記録する意味を兼ねて書いてみる。
いわゆるプロテインクライシスに関する危機意識は、主に可耕作地が頭打ちになりつつあることがベースにある。 実際に可耕作地面積は現在ほぼ飽和状態にあり、それらは現在家畜の飼料用のトウモロコシや大豆の大規模集約生産に振り向けられつつある。
